Blogger was one of the earliest blog platforms to be developed and has been credited with being the one that really helped to bring blogging to our attention . It is the most popular platform in use today . You need just a few minutes to set it up , and it’s ready to go . The interface offers both the WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get ) and HTML ( HyperTextMarkupLanguage ) editing options . It dosn’t require a knowledge of HTML , but if you have it , you can click the “Edit HTML” tab and work with source code itself . The platform also offers you several templates that you can switch to .
Blogger is free to use . But this comes with a price , albeit not a monetary one . Every blog in its system has a search bar at the top of the page that links to Google ( Blogger is owned by Google ) and a series of buttons , including one that links to reader to other blogs in the network . The big disadveantage to use a Blogger is that it lacks some of the basic blog functionalities found on other platforms . However , Blogger is an entry-level platform designed more for personal use .
